This curriculum map organises the compulsory spelling rules and patterns which the children will learn throughout their time at The Cambridge. For Reception and Key Stage 1, we use Little Wandle to support phonics and spelling. The children are split into groups based on their assessments and are taught using a variety of different programmes. These consist of: Daily phonics, Rapid Catch Up, SEND Rapid Catch up, Bridge to Spelling (Year 2) and Spelling (Year 2). 

In Key Stage 2, we follow the Oak Academy spelling programme. One objective is taught each week and this is split into two 30 minute lessons. The children learn the spelling rule in the first session and then practise applying this rule in the second session. These spelling rules are also revisited through our writing sessions.
